Episode #75

Renée Golder for City Council

Meet Renee

I am proud and excited to announce that I am running for Santa Cruz City Council in the March 2020 election. Over the last few weeks, I have met with elected officials and community leaders to discuss the state of our community. I will help to build a cohesive City Council, support and respect the hard working City staff, act quickly to address the many challenges facing our community, work to create efficient processes, and embrace the opportunities that Santa Cruz offers to all residents and visitors.

As a bilingual teacher, mother of two children attending Santa Cruz public schools, an active union member and longtime community volunteer, I am uniquely qualified to help lead our City. I will work to ensure that we address important issues such as the shortage of affordable housing in Santa Cruz, the impacts of crime and addiction on our neighborhoods, parks and businesses, and developing sustainable shelter and other solutions for those experiencing homelessness. I will have a broad and diverse coalition of support and to connect with voters about the issues important to them in the weeks and months ahead.

Support the Recall. Vote For Me on March 3rd!
